This is the site for the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. It is the regulatory body for physiotherapists in Ontario. The College provides information for the public and its main goal is to protect the public interest.
There is an overview of health regulation and physiotherapy regulation in Ontario. There are sections on what to expect from a physiotherapist, on Code of Ethics and on Standards of Practice.

This is the site for the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. The C.P.A. is the professional organization representing more than 9,000 physiotherapists and physiotherapy students across Canada.
Topics include: What is a physiotherapist? How can a physiotherapist help me? Physiotherapy in the News, and position statements on such topics as acupuncture, manipulation and community based care.

This is the site for the Ontario Physiotherapy Association. O.P.A. is the profession organization representing more than 4,500 physiotherapists and physiotherapy students in Ontario.
There is information about physiotherapy and about the role and function of the O.P.A. There is also a page on physiotherapy links and one on current physiotherapy items in the news.

This is the site for the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. It is the main organization that teaches acupuncture in Canada. Acupuncture is not currently regulated in Ontario although it will be soon.
There is an excellent resource section on acupuncture links, including the National Institutes of Health Consensus Statement on Acupuncture.

This is the site for the McKenzie Institute. It is an international institute which promotes a certain method of assessing and treating the spine.
The site describes the McKenzie method. There is a good literature review section which provides a synopsis of studies on such topics as: assessment procedures, tests and techniques, centralization, whiplash, and in-vivo and in-vitro anatomical and physiological studies.

This is the site for the Vestibular Disorders Association that exists to provide information and support for people suffering from inner ear balance disorders.
Topics include: Preventing Balance and Hearing Problems, Overview of Vestibular Disorders, Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, Meniere's Disease and Vestibular Rehabilitation.

This is the site for the Acoustic Neuroma Association of Canada (ANAC). The purpose of this website is to provide current and relevant information about acoustic neuroma for patients, their families and health care professionals.
Topics to access on this website include: what acoustic neuroma is; treatment options including a geographic listing of health care professionals who treat acoustic neuroma; information about ANAC; and links to other organizations and sources of information.

This is the Bell’s Palsy Information site. The purpose of this site is to provide information about Bell’s Palsy, general facial nerve problems and the treatment of facial paralysis.
This is a good site because it provides an overview of treatment options including Neuromuscular Facial Retraining and research links supporting this type of therapy.

This is the site for the International Association for the Study of Pain. It is a non-profit professional association dedicated to furthering research on pain and improving the care of patients with pain.
"Pain: Clinical Updates" - a clinical newsletter, can be down loaded for personal use.

This is the site for the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain which is dedicated to the treatment, education and certification of professionals in the technique of Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS).
Dr. Chan Gunn's radiculopathic pain model is described in a series of medical papers.

This site is a service of the National Library of Medicine / National Institutes of Health.
It is an excellent resource site offering information on conditions, diseases and wellness. Included is a medical encyclopedia, drug information, and access to organizations, consumer health libraries, publications and MEDLINE.
